Assessment of Maize Drought Risk in Midwestern Jilin Province: A Comparative Analysis of TOPSIS and VIKOR Models

Drought is a major natural disaster that causes reduction in rain-fed maize yield. Agricultural drought risk assessment conducive to improving regional management ability, thereby reducing food security risks and economic losses. Considering the complexity of research, an increasing number researchers are focusing on multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method. However, applicability MCDM method agro-meteorological assessments not clear. Therefore, this study comprehensively evaluated hazard, exposure, vulnerability, emergency response recovery capability using TOPSIS VIKOR models generate map mid-western Jilin Province ranked each county. The results showed that: (1) middle west province trend.
